1 - What motivated you to create M & B and published there in webcomic format?

Has a few reasons. To begin with, the spells started very plainly, as something very amateur. I loved comics and wanted to do something, but it was serious, was just for fun ... then I published on the Internet because it is the only way in which I could publish anything, even amateur, because it has no business need. In addition, the format, theme adventure / fantasy and comic strip format which continue to form a larger story, in my view, is not a very commercial format for media that normally publish strips (newspapers), then neither I contemplated sending to publish newspapers. At the same time, this type of hq is quite common on the Internet, and I was inspired by some gringos webcomics to write in this format. And finally, agility is very important to me. I could not bear to keep a work for so long if I had to wait hundreds of strips together in a book before publishing. I feel more encouraged when I see people's reaction as soon as I finish drawing.

2 - After 500 strips published you consider that M & B is a success?

Well, that's very relative. I think it is a success as a webcomic in Brazil: there are few for so long, has a loyal and growing and, especially, I never thought that one day I draw a comic for so long! However, in terms of the general public (number of people who read) and financial, I still have much ground to catch up. In Brazil, webcomics have a certain level of success, because people are still acquiring the habit of reading comics on the Internet. As an example, the site spells in English, without any disclosure, arrived by the same amount of hits the site in Portuguese, which I disclose in twitter, blogs, forums, books and so on. However, I do purely for love spells, since they do not gain anything over it, and at this point, yes, I consider it a success!

3 - What has changed since his first strip to the strip of No. 500?

Very! Strips were very old amateur, both in terms of text and art. Not only did I not take them very seriously, and not so technical that I have today. I must also add that the ambiance was not as rich, but that is my choice to do what I call "organic creation" (do not know if I took that term from somewhere or invented, hehehe), I will create the scenario according to the need of history, instead of setting the scene before and write the story above. With 500 strips, the ambience is much richer than in the beginning!

4 - Do you have plans or proposals have had to show their work in another medium than the Internet?

J there will be a project for publishing Com-Art years ago, but decided to interrupt it for a number of reasons. Since then, there was nothing new, but I intend, with the upgrade of the old strips, turn the magic in a good product and pursue it as soon as the end Chapter XII.

5 - What are your expectations for his work in comics?

I have two paths that I am following in parallel: the first is with the spells, still working on it to be if one day it becomes a profession, and the second is to try a career as a designer of American comics, and for that I have been studying the art of HQ in recent years (one of the reasons for the art itself spells have evolved so much time here). A third option would be to create a new HQ in another format, to try something in Brazil. I think a lot about it, but do not have time to take the ideas out.

6 - What are you reading lately?

I read the two monthly X-Men (the first comic I bought in 12 years to life and the one that I must follow), plus New Avengers and Green Lantern, Dragon Ball accompany the special Conrad (I'm in the early phase Z) and where an spare money, buy some album. The latter were Maus and that publication of the first comics of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Also accompany various webcomics (as that link's Web site spells) and strips of Folha de Sao Paulo.

7 - Clear to send your message, make a merchan, joke, etc!

Nothing much, just say to all the readers of Spells, presenting it to their friends readers of comic books, RPG players or the like. The more the merrier!
